PEELS

Peels are used to remove aesthetic defects such as discolouration, wrinkles and lesions located within the epidermis and dermis.

Peels can be divided into:

  • surface peels - within the epidermis,
  • medium deep peels - within the epidermis and the upper layer of the skin,
  • deep peels - extending into the deeper layers of the skin.

The depth and concentration of a peel is selected by the physician on the basis of a patient’s medical history, dermatological examination and the patient’s expectations.

Therapeutic indication for chemical peels:

  • freckles,
  • chloasma,
  • lentil-shaped spots,
  • postinflammatory hyperpigmentation,
  • sun damage (actinic keratosis),
  • damage caused by ageing: wrinkles, loss of skin firmness,
  • scars,
  • acne,
  • stretch marks,
  • cornification disorders (dry skin, keratosis follicularis).

A peel consists in the application of a properly chosen mixture of chemical compounds in a certain concentration onto the patient’s skin.

A week before a peel, one should not use epilation, electrolysis, waxing, dermabrasion, retinoids, and preparations which irritate the skin.

Moreover, men should not shave on the day of the treatment.

The best results are achieved through a series of peels (3-6 treatments) at intervals of about 2-3 weeks.

ALMOND PEEL

It is the only peel based on mandelic acid. The treatment may be performed throughout the year, even during the summer, without the risk of skin sensitivity to sunshine and the occurrence of hyperpigmentation.

The properties of mandelic acid and excellent tolerance by people with sensitive skin allow for the application of this peel in patients intolerant of treatment with other acids, and in those with dilated capillaries. The peel is recommended as a complementary therapy treatment of juvenile acne and rosacea.

The almond peel may be used without restriction by people tanning in the sun and at the solarium. It has a strong bio-protective value with a broad spectrum, preventing skin photoageing. The effects of the almond peel application are: youthful, toned, flexible, smooth skin.

GLYCOLIC ACID

It is particularly recommended to counteract skin ageing. It aids the reduction of fine surface wrinkles, improving skin density and compactness. Significant results are also achieved in the treatment of tissue flaccidity: skin regains its tension and density through the stimulation of the production of new collagen and elastic fibers.

This kind of peel requires a series of treatments every 7-14 days.

Before the treatment, the skin should be properly prepared.

After the treatment, the skin peels off in an invisible way.

LACTIC ACID

This is an acid that has peeling, moisturizing and anti-ageing properties. It regulates skin cell renewal by removing unnecessary callous cells, which results in improved skin tone and structure. It reduces water loss from the skin, which becomes more elastic and soft. It also affects the production of collagen, resulting in increased thickness and reinforcement of the dermis.

Above all, this acid visibly reduces fine surface wrinkles, improves skin elasticity and firmness.

BIOMEDIC LHA-PEEL

Biomedic LHA-Peel is a new generation of chemical peels which involves the controlled abrasion of the epidermis by the lipo hydroxy acid (a salicylic acid derivative).

The treatment consists of two phases: preparation of the skin at home using cosmetics recommended by the doctor (cleansing gel or tonic) followed by treatment in the beauty salon, which involves degreasing the skin and the application of the preparation at a concentration of 5 to 10% for about 20 minutes.

Although the skin is now prepared to the contact with the acid, it may experience a burning sensation during treatment and it may later be red. This is a completely normal reaction, and the peel may be called mild. It is also recommended for persons with sensitive skin and dilated capillaries. The skin may peel off slightly but this may not occur at all.

After the treatment the skin is smoother and firmer; stains and small wrinkles disappear. It looks fresh and healthy.

The best results are obtained after the whole course of 3-4 treatments (at two- or three-week intervals).

REMOVAL OF SHADOWS AND SMALL WRINKLES UNDER THE EYES

The treatment consists of three stages:

  • The first step involves the application of the Mandelac T preparation. This is a cocktail of specially composed acids: almond, thioglycolic and phytic. The main ingredient, mandelic acid, has strong rejuvenating and brightening properties. In addition, vitamin A derivative, present in the preparation, stimulates cell renewal, increases the levels of collagen and elastin, firms and tightens the skin.
  • The second stage is the application of the Argipeel preparation, which is an exfoliating gel consisting of:
    - arginine, which stimulates the cardiovascular system and collagen synthesis
    - lactic acid, moisturizing and lightening
    - allantoin, soothing the skin
    - aloe vera, regenerating the skin.
  • The third stage of treatment involves the use of modern technology C-VIT flakes, applied under your eyes, and containing vitamin C, mimetic peptide and caffeine to eliminate signs of fatigue, wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles around the eyes.

It is recommended to undergo a series of 4-9 treatments once a week.

MELASPEEL J – a peel for skin with acne and hyperpigmentation

A set of exfoliating substances, particularly recommended for oily skin and acne. MELASPEEL J contains resorcinol - a powerful antibacterial agent that inhibits the Propionibaceterium Acne bacterium which contributes to the formation of acne. Among important components of the scrub is salicylic acid, also recommended in the treatment of oily skin and acne because of its bacteriostatic properties and the ability to regulate sebum production.

In order to achieve the best results, we recommend a minimum of three treatments every two weeks.
